Today is Friday! :D and I am ready for the weekend. I'm pretty sure so are others. This whole school week has been okay, i had my first field trip of the year on Tuesday. It was a trip for Aquatic Science, and it was AWESOME! We went to Galveston, to both a pond, I want to say, and the beach. We got into the water of the pond with a large net to gather fish for a study, and estimate of how many kinds are out there. Not only fish, but there was also some clear shrimp, which jump around more then the fish. We also learned that the land surrounding the large pond had small, almost mini trees, that are eatable. (only the green ones, not the red ones) We all got one of the tiny leaves and ate it. Yuk! Well the weren't that bad, just a bit too salty. WE FOUND A DEAD RAY! It smelled really nasty, and my friend Jerry, got it of the water with the net. Now that is: YUCK!
Later, after that we went towards the beach, but we ate first, then walked over to it. Ah, it was so peaceful. The waves were low, and making there music. Almost made me want to "be left behind." We all had a fun time walking around the sand, learning about the shells, the relatives of the jelly fish, and the shrimp that hide in the muddy sand. This was by far the best field trip ever. I guess the only one because high school doesn't give too many. I enjoyed it with my friends.
